Family Relationship Support and Assistance

Relationship Australia (WA) is the lead agency at the Perth Family Relationships Centre (FRC). Multicultural Services Centre of Western Australia (MSCWA) and Relationships Australia (WA) have a collaborative partnership with co-located CaLD family dispute resolution practitioners at the Perth Family Relationships Centre.

The FRC provides information for families to strengthen relationships, overcome relationship difficulties and deal with separation. Counsellors can help families experiencing relationship difficulties through counselling sessions and family mediation services.

Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) is a special type of mediation that assists separating families to come to their own agreements about arrangements for children, money and property, as an alternative to heading to the Family Court. The Centre offers up to six hours of free Family Dispute Resolution sessions for families experiencing separation.

The Family Relationship Centre also provides referrals to other services for support, education programs, seminars, counselling and legal advice.
