Family and Community Support Program (FaCS)

The Family and Community Support (FaCS) Program is funded by the Department of Communities to provide culturally safe, trauma informed counselling, advocacy and referral services to individuals and families in response to self-identified challenges or needs.

FaCS works with individuals and families to build capacity, resilience, and independence through the development of skills, confidence, and forging of community links and support networks.

FaCS assists individuals and families with some of the following challenges:

  • Family Relationships Issues
  • Social Isolation
  • Acculturation and settlement stress
  • Financial Issues
  • Grief and Loss
  • Life Skills and Coping Issues
  • Personal Development and Self Esteem Issues
